re-constructing the ingredient house

Challenge

The Ingredient House is a global distributor of high quality ingredients that are found in many of the foods and drinks we enjoy, from some of the most popular brands.  Our challenge was to re-construct the ingredient house with a "fun" look and feel while keeping it functional for a specialized industry driven by trust, product knowledge, and strong industry relationships. Despicable Me Splash Page

Do you know your customers?

It seems like a weird question, but it's a good one to ask yourself. Many businesses will respond "I don't know." These same people spend a lot of money/effort attracting people to their websites and in the end, have no idea whether or not that visitor, in fact, became a customer. Truth is many small business owners know very little about how visitors spend time on their website.

Implementing analytics tools (like google analytics) on your website can give really valuable data about what visitors are viewing. Understanding the online behavior of customers is a good way to inform future marketing and even design decisions. For instance, if product pages aren't easy to navigate, then you might notice a lot of visitors adding products to the shopping cart, and then leaving the shopping cart at the point of purchase.

Without knowing exactly how many people are leaving vs how many are buying, it becomes very difficult to know how much money is being left on the table.

“First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens hired websignia to redo its homepage, but Steve Jones and his staff ended up redesigning our entire website, along with two others (the Central Jersey Community Development Corporation and Harvest of Hope Family Network Services, Inc.). All three websites are fresh, interactive and modern. We have a year-long contact with Websignia and are looking forward to our extended relationship with their web design team.” Top qualities: Personable, Good Value, Creative First Baptist Church: http://fbcsomerset.com/
