gitty daneshvari is the author of the famed “school of fear” book series. since websignia designed the original website for school of fear published by our client, little brown books for young readers (hachette book group), gitty reached out to us to redesign her personal website to coincide with the release of the 3rd book in the series.  the new site needed to reflect the unique style of gitty and appeal to the teen and tween audience of her books. lastly, gitty needed an easy way to update the content on her website based on her level of techspertise. room for dessert began out of  chandra hayslett’s passion for baking and a joy for watching people enjoy her delicious homemade treats. from the beginning, chandra understood  the importance of having a professional online presence but also wanted a website that reflected a calm, comforting and homey environment. with the demand for baked goods increasing, room for dessert needed  to make its public debut with a web presence that allowed the customer to easily purchase baked goods online and also have a clear idea of what went into making each delicious treat.  the website needed to be easy to navigate, visually attractive, and allow the customer to share information about the company and it’s tasty offerings via social media outlets. on october 19th, 2011 the center for urban entrepreneurship & economic development (cueed) at rutgers business hosted the new jersey social entrepreneurship summit (njses) at new jersey performing arts center (njpac.) the event was sponsored by the small business administration (sba) and pse&g.

the summit aimed to raise the profile of social entrepreneurship in new jersey and  showcase leaders of the social entrepreneurship. we were tasked with creating digital properties for the event and promoting the summit via social media. the project timeline was approximately 30 days from concept to event day. newark leadership roundtable series

The Positive Community is the only faith-based lifestyle magazine targeted to the African American market in the new york / new jersey area. as its tagline denotes, the magazine focuses on the “Good News from the Church and the Community.” Developed through the joint vision of Mr. Al Koeppe (The Newark Alliance), Dr. Clement Price (Rutgers University), Rev. Dr. M. William Howard (Bethany Baptist Church) , and in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of The Positive Community magazine,  Newark Leadership Roundtable Series (NLRS), consists of three roundtable discussions on Education, Business, and Health and Safety, a November Town Hall Meeting and Small Business Expo and The 1st Annual Positive Community Awards during MLK Weekend in January 2012.  NLRS is an invitation only event, but the discussions will  broadcast live via the website.

So Jazzy, So Brooklyn, SOCO! is the creation of famed Negril restaurateurs Peter Best, Malissa Browne, and Sim Walker. soco’s menu is a refreshing southern fusion of cajun, creole and soul food. with the launch of the new restaurant located in the clinton hills section of brooklyn, soco needed a web presence that reflects its unique vision, taste, and style. the site also needed to be easy to navigate, book reservations, check out the menu, and share almost anything on the site via social media.  (more…)
