we’ve recently had a number of opportunities to help make newark shine.
we chose newark for our webquarters not just to be closer to our clients, but we wanted to help the city improve its digital image and social media footprint. we were more than happy to pitch in when asked to design the official host committee website to showcase the city during the ncaa east regional Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games played in the Prudential Center. www.hoopfest.gonewark.com had just under 10,000 unique visitors in 3 days. The site was the official source of information about all the festivities surrounding Hoopfest. Our marketing team worked ’round the clock to provide up-to-the minute content updates.
during the hoopfest hoopla, made in newark was launched. This initiative is the brainchild of Newark manufacturer, mitch cahn. the idea was to highlight newark as the home of more than 300 manufacturers, and 12,000 employees. we produced the made in newark site and are currently marketing it via social media outlets. we’ve witnessed first hand the pride newarkers feel when their city is painted in a positive light, so we know this will be big!
during hoopfest, people who often think of newark as a broken metropolis visited the city and got an opportunity to see beyond the negative headlines. our marketing team took part in the hoopfest activities and captured these images…
