welcome to websignia – Open House

On November 15th we opened our doors to anyone that was interested in knowing who we are and seeing where we do what we do. Attendees marveled at our brand spankin’ new office space and saw first hand that we are much about play as we are about work, when VP, Dalmar James, busted out his guitar and threatened to play a few notes. Guest held their breath hoping for a few notes but all he did was pose for pictures.

Guests mingled and snacked, and had an opportunity to learn the reasoning behind the brightly colored paint on the wall, and why our offices are all completely open.
We chose the wall colors because we want an environment that stimulates the mind and inspires ideas and creativity. Nothing says lay down and sleep like plain white walls. Steve wanted people to be energized when they walked into the office and from the vibrant look and lively conversation heard from guests at the open house, we think it’s working.
Our open face offices are meant to encourage interaction among employees. Steve believes open space, open minds. So, rather than have doors and have an open door policy, we thought it would be more meaningful and inviting to do away with the doors all together.
The event was a big success. We had an opportunity to chat with Newark’s upcoming business leaders such as Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche, Jeremiah L Grace, Alfred Blake and Lindsey Holmes. Websignia was a start-up once, and through hard work, dedication and creative muscle, we have grown to a company of 8 employees and hundreds of clients. We’re really looking forward to working in our new home at the Military Park Building, as we continue to bring a big agency experience in a small package.
