partner spotlight: Greater Newark Enterprise Corporation (GNEC)
by marketing team in news at 8:00 amAt websignia, one of our aims is to better understand the evolving needs of small businesses and, in so doing, tailor our digital marketing services to help them succeed. We rely on partners like The Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation (GNEC) to keep us in the loop regarding small business development and provide opportunities to network.
GNEC is a non profit community development corporation, established in 2005, that provides micro loans and other technical assistance to small businesses.
Here is what executive director of GNEC, Mike Wall, had to say about working with entrepreneurs…
Being an Entrepreneur or an Organization that works with entrepreneurs is like being on the Apprentice everyday. While there might not be a board room and a gauntlet of contestants to fend off, if you are not on your game, 24/7 you will be fired! Entrepreneurs are a unique breed which encompass the best of the American spirit and dream. They not only spot the opportunity, they take action on it. Working with entrepreneurs on a daily basis inspires me and my team. You never know who or what idea will make it through our doors. From seasoned accountants, to technology companies to contractors to the idea from last night’s kitchen table discussion. To be able to provide resources, whether financial or technical assistance, and know we played a hand in creating a stronger business model is a very fulfilling experience.
I think Mike has it right.
