2011 was a year filled with lots of action and new beginnings. some of our clients were brand new, and some were new brands.
when soco brought southern cuisine to brooklyn they asked us to bring the cuisine to the web. we learned a lot of history about products that were made in newark, and that newark alliance existed solely to support the renaissance of the city and those seeking to make more in newark. room for desserts was a treat (that actually brought tasty treats to the office). just as sweet for us was designing hoopfest: the sweet 16 spelled sweet success for the city of newark (and the university of kentucky.) luterra systems rebranding

overview
luterra systems develops technology products that reduces the energy consumption of large lighting systems. the font selected for logo design is clean and clear with a modern, almost futuristic feel to it. the name, luterra, roughly translates to “light the earth,” hence the star burst peeking over a horizon. the icon is contained in a crescent moon for emphasis.

Made in Newark (www.madeinnewark.net) is an initiative started by Mitch Cahn of Unionwear, a Newark based manufacturer, to raise the visibility of goods actually made: in Newark. The movement kicks off with the unveiling of an ecommerce shop selling locally manufactured goods during the NCAA East Regional Tournament in Newark (March 24 to 27). cmm financial consultants team of qualified financial professionals are experienced in personal budgeting and taxation. the logo instills a sense of calm and trustworthiness. the clean squared off lines of the text represent precision. the dips in the graph never go below its starting point, this, along with upward flight of the butterfly icon is meant to represent growth.

felicia watson is a an event planner that focuses on weddings. the colors are bold to stand out against light backgrounds, yet with an elegant type, framed by a delicate graphic reminiscent of the lace and embroidery that often accompany weddings.

Overview
the ingredient house is a global distributor of high quality ingredients that are found in many of the foods and drinks we enjoy. we re-constructed the ingredient house website with a “fun” look and feel and we needed equally appealing brochures to further rebrand the company.
